Progressing toward the 9th SOW

Welcome to the fourth issue of QIO News—the first of 2008! We at CMS are experiencing a very busy time as the QIO Program 9th Statement of Work (SOW) request for proposals was issued in January and proposals from bidders are due in mid- to late March.

As our staff worked on developing the Themes of the 9th SOW, we were reminded that we have significant successes to celebrate from the 8th SOW, in which QIOs were effective as community leaders, successfully engaged mportant health care partners, and helped providers improve quality.
