Description
The December 2002 Revised Long Term Care Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) User’s Manual for the Minimum Data Set (MDS) Version 2.0 replaced CMS’s original Long Term Care RAI User’s Manual Version 2.0 published in October 1995. This version, and subsequent updates of the RAI\MDS manual, incorporates clarifications to existing coding and transmission policy, integrates previously published Questions and Answers (Q&As) into the appropriate sections and addresses requested clarifications and scenarios concerning problem areas. Please note that InterRAI holds the copyright to Version 2.0 of the RAI for long-term care outside of the US. Therefore, this revised Version 2.0 of the RAI/MDS manual should not be reproduced outside of the United States without permission of InterRAI. Within the US, Version 2.0 is in the public domain.
