CMS has Released Revised Guidance for Activities
(Tags F248 and F249)

CMS has released revised surveyor guidance for Activities and QAA requirements in long-term care facilities. This guidance will become effective June 1, 2006. CMS has also released surveyor guidance for using the Psychosocial Outcome Severity Grid, which will also become effective on June 1, 2006. The guidance will ultimately be incorporated into Appendix P and PP of the State Operations Manual. More information can be found at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) web site.
