Medicare Secondary Payor (MSP)

CMS has issued a revised MSP form, effective September 11, 2006. While this form is not mandatory, it is familiar to other health care providers and has been around for many years. CMS determines the questions to ask to assist providers in determining if Medicare is the primary payer for home health services. Health care agencies use this questionnaire to determine if other insurance coverage may be primary to Medicare. To view the transmittal posted on the CMS
