Q: We are a small 30 bed assisted living facility and do not use a large quantity of medical supplies at one time. Does Briggs require you to purchase in bulk or by-the-case like other medical supply companies?
A: Briggs does not require bulk purchases of medical supplies. In fact, Briggs offers you the option of purchasing in small amounts that are more practical for your facility. Many of the medical supplies Briggs offers can be purchased by the each instead of an entire box. For example, you can purchase just one DuoDerm dressing instead of the entire box or case of dressings. You can also purchase just one box of gloves versus a whole case if one of your employees requires a special type or size. This allows you to save money by not wasting products that become outdated before you can use all of them.

Q: What if we are not sure about purchasing a product Briggs offers?
A: Briggs offers samples of most items. If you are unsure about an item, just ask for a sample and we’ll be glad to send one to you.

Q: What type of training materials does Briggs offer to train our staff?
A: Briggs has a wide variety of training options to help assist you. Briggs has an online training program that helps you train, test and track your staff that they can access at their own convenience. The t3 online training program gives you access to over 100 Joint Commission, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Agency for Health Care Policy and Research standards. Briggs also offers DVD and training videos for all your monthly and yearly mandated in-services.

Q: How do you find an excellent resident education program that is centered toward an assisted living environment that still allows for that independent, at-home feeling many residents desire?
A: Briggs has a new line of education material called Step by Step to help ensure your residents are staying compliant with their treatment regime. By helping your residents manage their diseases, you can prevent future hospitalizations and help them remain a permanent resident.
