Briggs Names New Chief Clinical Consultant for Home Care
DES MOINES, IA (September 27, 2007) - Briggs Corporation today
announced Kristy S. Petersen, RN, CHPN as the new Chief Clinical Consultant for
the home care, hospice and assisted living markets.
Her primary responsibility as one of the leading clinicians on staff is to provide clinical support for the current business plan through new product initiatives, regulatory updates, marketing and advertising strategies, sales team interaction and trainings, customer meetings and by attending industry conferences nationwide.
“Ms. Petersen is passionate about building long-lasting relationships with customers, and her first objective is to prepare for the new PPS and subsequent OASIS changes that will be made by January 1, 2008. We are excited to see her leadership and interpersonal skills being used as a motivating factor in the future initiatives here at Briggs,” states Jim Baker, Marketing Director.A registered nurse, Ms. Petersen comes to Briggs from Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, where she was manager of the Israel Family Hospice House. In that position, she was the only onsite manager responsible for developing the case management model for home care, inpatient and outpatient hospice, developing new policies, managing day-to-day operations, marketing and education.
Prior to that, Ms. Petersen was the Satellite Director of Hospice of Central Iowa, where she supervised operations in five different offices throughout Iowa, managing local employees, assisting in the development and monitoring of fiscal budgets, and maintaining quality control functions for each office.

Kristy is an Iowa native, and she currently works and resides in Des Moines, Iowa. Briggs is pleased to have such an enthusiastic and positive individual join the clinical team.
