Briggs Offers Assisted Living Guidelines
DES MOINES, IA (September 7, 2006) - Briggs Corporation is
offering a revised Assisted Living Operational Guidelines book and Comprehensive
Documentation System to best serve the assisted living market. The updated
system will assist centers with risk management while promoting the highest
quality of care for residents.
The Assisted Living Operational Guidelines provides a how-to guide for each facility, including resident interaction, activities and disaster preparedness. These key guidelines set policies and procedures that can be customized to each facility and explain to personnel how to properly handle a number of situations that could arise. The guidelines provide a documented process to ensure residents are receiving consistent care and the quality of life each facility strives for.
“We have designed our assisted living products to best provide a complete system for facilities across the country to properly document a variety of situations and better manage their risk,” said Erica Kiefer, Briggs Corporation’s Market Team Leader for Senior Care. “Staff turnover in the healthcare industry is a major concern for management in regard to the quality of care and living environment they provide. Our Assisted Living systems are designed to efficiently train staff on documentation and policies and procedures. When a residence implements these manuals properly, they can increase resident satisfaction and manage risk simultaneously.”
